How People Are Adjusting Their Way of Living During COVID-19
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a lot of stress and problems for people all around the world, today we talked to different people to get their opinions and ask them how they are dealing with this virus and adapting to the changes that come with it.
During this time of extreme uncertainty, it is vital for the American people to all come together to unit for this cause. Everyone is going through the same thing, so we need to listen to officials and stay quarantined and stay safe. The more people that listen to the safety procedures the better it will be for everyone, and soon we will all be able to go back to some normality.
Many people are being affected by this pandemic, some residents from the city of Deer Park, Victoria Flores a Radiography student in the San Jacinto Program and Alexandria Flores who attends the University of Houston Clear Lake. Were asked how they’re dealing with all of this going on, “This global pandemic has greatly impacted my everyday life. I’m currently a medical radiography student at San Jacinto College. I’m in my fourth semester and was planning on completing my degree at the end of this upcoming fall semester. However due to the circumstances, my school plans seem to change day to day. My entire program has switched to 100% online, which is a major change considering none of my classes were ever taken online.” Victoria Flores said.
The other student added, “This coming fall semester I’m supposed to be starting an internship for the teaching program. Due to the pandemic, it has not been very clear if we will even be teaching in the classroom by then. This pandemic really has made the last semester a different experience going from in all in person classes to totally online.” Alexandria Flores said.
From an economic standpoint, and the safety of our civilians this needs to be taken seriously, if we all listen to the protocols, the faster we will be back to normality.
Here’s a look at the daily life of 21 year old Aaron Hernandez, during this quarantine:
A lot of people have had to make some big adjustments with their jobs, this is new to everyone so adapting will take some time. “This pandemic has affected so many companies tremendously. As of mid-March, most employees have been working remotely from home, which has been quite a challenge. I really miss interacting with my boss and of course my co-workers and just our day to day responsibility. Our corporate leaders have been making accommodations so that we will be working in a safe environment, when we are ready to go back to work.” explained Patricia Hernandez a radio assistant from Pasadena
This has taken a major effect on people’s lifestyles and has made them make changes. A lot of things will be different because of this pandemic. Most of us have never been through a situation like this, so it will be life changing for sure. According to the passage by BMC Journal of Translational Medicine, American diets and lifestyles are changing during Covid-19. “The COVID-19 pandemic represents a massive impact on human health, causing sudden lifestyle changes, through social distancing and isolation at home, with social and economic consequences. Optimizing public health during this pandemic requires not only knowledge from the medical and biological sciences, but also of all human sciences related to lifestyle, social and behavioral studies, including dietary habits and lifestyle.”.
To summarize everything in these interviews, the main thing that is for sure is that everyone is being affected by this virus and they are adapting to the changes that are being made. It is a good thing that they are following the safety guidelines but they want everyone to listen to the authorities and stay at home, so you don’t take any risk of getting infected, and for the virus to stop spreading throughout the country .
This is a very difficult time for everyone, but let’s all unite together, be safe and quarantine with our families. Once this is all over it will all be worth it, our economy will bounce back to where it was, and a cure for this virus will be found. Let’s all be there for each other, so we can all get through this tough time.
